QNB wins prestigious awards at the Arab Banks Digital Excellence Awards 2018

Tunis, 14 March 2019 -- QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, recently won the “Best Mobile Banking Application” and “Best Digital Bank in the Arab Gulf Region” during the gala held recently in Tunisia to crown the winners of the “Arab Banks Digital Excellence 2018” awards.

The event was organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), and attended by numerous diplomatic, economic, and media figures, in addition to many prestigious and active figures in the banking and technology fields in the Arab region and across the globe.

The launch of this important annual award is aimed at highlighting and appreciating the efforts of the Arab banking and financial sector in the presentation and development of digital services, through the engagement of the latest communications and information technologies to develop this vital field.

Among the new features offered by the latest update of QNB Mobile Banking app are the Cash@Speed service, which allows customers to make instant cash advances and make interactive branch appointment bookings; the Mobile Cash service, which allows customers to send cash to any mobile number in Qatar to be withdrawn at any QNB ATM; and Augmented Reality using the camera of the mobile device, giving customers the ability to plan their route to an ATM or loyalty partner with Google Maps or Apple Maps.

The QNB Mobile Banking app is available on iPhones and Android smartphones, and with a distinguished landscape oriented version specialised to iPads and Android tablets (QNB Mobile for Tablets), as well as on innovative Tablet Kiosks in QNB branches in the English, Arabic, and French languages.
